This is using steam. I'm not able to discuss Xbox or PlayStation. On your PC files, you need to go to two different locations: "(Start path for your personal device)\Documents\My Games\Starfield" and "(Start path for your personal device)\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield", I went through both and changed both "Starfield.ini" and "StarfieldCustom.ini". You can copy and paste, but the text needs to look like this:

SResourceIndexFileList=Starfield - LODTextures.ba2, Starfield - LODTextures01.ba2, Starfield - LODTextures02.ba2, Starfield - Textures01.ba2, Starfield - Textures02.ba2, Starfield - Textures03.ba2, Starfield - Textures04.ba2, Starfield - Textures05.ba2, Starfield - Textures06.ba2, Starfield - Textures07.ba2, Starfield - Textures08.ba2, Starfield - Textures09.ba2, Starfield - Textures10.ba2, Starfield - Textures11.ba2, Starfield - TexturesPatch.ba2 "

I did it for all 4 ini, but some people only did it for certain ones. These 4 ini text files can be found in either path, 2 for each. There may be text already there with [Archive]. I just deleted it and pasted what I posted above. After that, you need to go to the game's main folder (the Steam one), click on the Data folder, and find: "Starfield - LODTextures01.ba2" It will be close to the bottom; everything should be in alphabetical order. Make a copy of this, and it should pop up as: "Starfield - LODTextures01 - Copy.ba2" You then need to rename this copy as "Starfield - LODTextures.ba2"

After all of that, you should be all good. If you are using Vortex, I highly recommend hitting the Purge button, waiting a minute for it to remove the mods from your game folder, then hitting Deploy so Vortex can reinstall the mods back to their places. Some mods will place their own custom text in the ini files we edited, so doing this should allow those mods to restore that text in case you deleted it without knowing.

Ignore any "" marks. I'm using those to highlight things as a group to avoid confusion with my comments.

Anyone noticed that the Shiv seems to have a extra set of wings on its side? Don't remember those on the normal shiv so could this be a variant or do you think CIG is doing some minor changes to certain ships.

Having to re-watch the 4.8 video as CIG put a few mini Easter eggs that I did not notice the first time around such as the Meteor using Bespoke Laser repeaters and the cockpit view of the M80 in the pilot seat.

Edit: Looks like CIG will be adding customization options for ships to make them look different. Kinda like elite dangerous and it's ship exterior customization. Who knows how many ships and what kind of customization we will be able to do. I am excited for it either way. Kinda like the look of the mini wings. Might have to get me some as well.
