So, I was messing around in Sellia earlier and honestly? I think we’ve all been sleeping on the actual lore. Everyone’s obsessed with the big bosses, but if you just vibe with the environment for five minutes, it’s pretty clear there was a "Night Lord" ruling this place that the game "forgot" to mention.

It’s one of those things where once you see it, you can’t un-see it.

  1. The Chair Situation

The Idea: The sorcerers were basically just waiting for their boss to show up.

The Connection: If you look at how the chairs are tossed around, they’re all kind of aiming toward the swamp. It’s pretty obvious the mages were just hanging out, waiting for some savior to walk out of the rot. We don't really need an item description for this; the furniture tells the whole story.

The Support: If you just focus on the chairs that haven't been smashed, they basically form a throne room. People will say it’s just random debris, but that’s just noise. If you ignore the mess, the layout is a perfect match for a royal court.

  1. The Candles That Won't Light

The Idea: The ruler of this place literally fed on light.

The Connection: There are these candles that just... won't light. No matter what you do. If a candle doesn't catch fire, it’s not a candle—it’s a darkness vessel. It’s either a massive lore drop or the game is broken, and it’s definitely not broken.

The Support: It’s a tiny detail, but it’s probably the most important thing in Caelid. Once you realize the candles are "eating" the light, a shadow-king is the only explanation that actually makes sense.

  1. The Gate Moss

The Idea: The town is literally crying.

The Connection: There’s some moss on the main gate that looks exactly like a weeping eye. You get this super heavy, sad vibe just standing near it, so the wall is clearly manifesting the town’s grief. If it feels sad, it’s because the lore is sad.

The Support: Since the moss is an eye, we're definitely getting an "Eye Boss" later. The fact that he’s not in the game yet just proves they’re saving the Night Lord for a big reveal.

  1. The Empty Pedestals

The Idea: The Golden Order deleted this guy’s entire existence.

The Connection: There are all these spots where statues should be, but they’re empty. Since there’s nothing there, the Golden Order obviously scrubbed them. The total lack of evidence is actually the best proof we have—it shows how hard they worked to hide him.

The Support: Some people will say they’re just empty assets, but they’re probably just not looking deep enough. The fact that there’s "nothing" there is exactly what proves he existed.
