This past Friday, I met a girl while I was out with some friends. I want to preface this, I haven’t approached a girl at a bar/club in years at this point simply due to a lack of confidence and anxiousness. For whatever reason, this time around I finally decided to do it. I thought we had a good conversation, probably for about an hour or so. I thought there was something there potentially. Before she left, she gave me her Instagram unprompted which I thought was a good sign that she might be interested in me.
The next day, I DM’d her saying “Hey! Was great meeting you last night, next time I’m in town I would love to hang out again” Worth noting here that I live out of state from her, about 2 hours away. The following morning she liked the message, and responded with “It was nice meeting you too! Sounds good :)” I then responded back asking for her number and that I will text her when I’m back in town. It’s since been two days with no response.
Again, I really don’t have a ton of experience doing this sort of thing, so I would like to just get some advice on how to move forward and/or what to do differently next time. Should I send a follow up DM next time I’m in town regardless of when that may be? Did I not make my intentions clear enough? Did I jump the gun on asking for her number? Would love to hear some opinions.
