So I was thinking about ways to keep MtG fresh and affordable while not just cutting out older sets and had this little "brainstorm". How about a format where the only legal cards are the ones with at least 4 different artworks? Obviously, this wouldnt count special printings like judge foils, but it would be based on cards printed in normal booster packs.

I realize there would be some expensive cards, but also a ton of budget options. The immediate one that came to mind was Hymn to Tourach and Dark Ritual in some sort of mono black brew.

Could be a dumb idea, but figured I would share my thoughts anyway.
