Telematics and Radio Modules
My replacement Telematics (2nd) and Radio (1st) replacement modules finally came in. Took the car to the dealer and had them installed. Apparently they had hell of a time programing the radio module and had to open a ticket with Chevrolet, but ultimately got it programed. So far, so good. Everything looks to be working as expected.
But the unexpected is that the audio sounds WAY better than with the original radio module! I had downloaded the Infiniti Personalized Sound app, and it helped a lot. But lost it with the replacement radio module, and it's not available in my Play Store now. But honestly, it doesn't need it. I don't know if it's due to upgraded hardware, upgraded software, or a combination, but the sound is good. Obviously can't compensate for the crappy speakers but I'm pretty pleased.
Also, I'm on SQBR6 now and streaming video is working. Not something I'll use much because I charge at home 99% of the time. But nice to be up to date. No Apple Music yet, but hope springs eternal!
Has anyone else experienced an upgrade to audio quality with a radio module replacement?
