I feel despair every time I see my package has to go through this location...

I ordered something on Sunday July 26th. I paid a bit extra for 2 Day shipping. The items I ordered are needed for an event this weekend. The seller was awesome and had it picked up the next afternoon. Everything seemed to be going swell with the process until I saw my package had arrived in Hagerstown, MD. I don't know what is wrong with that hub, but legitimately every single time that I've had a package go there, it gets delayed somehow. The horrendous customer service makes the situation laughably worse.

Yesterday on the supposed "delivery date" the package was still in Hagerstown, MD. I waited until evening, in case there missed scans, to call fedex about it. When I did call them, I of course had to go through the AI virtual assistant loops to get a hold of a real person. What I didn't anticipate, was that the bot was more helpful and competent than the rep I talked to. I told the rep what the situation was and he put me on hold for a few minutes. He comes back and says "Yes sir, your package will be delivered today". I told him that the last scan showed it in a different state and asked if he could at least figure out the actual location of the package. He legit went quiet for 2-3 minutes and then said "Is there anything else I can do for you Sir?" That legitimately happened 3 more times before I just hung up.

It's still only one day after the original delivery date, but with the tracking not moving at all and the weekend fast approaching, I highly doubt I'll have the items I needed for the weekend. FedEx as whole has let me down more than any other carrier, but that's not to say that UPS or USPS are much better. I think from here on out, I'll just try to find a way to have Amazon deliver all of my packages. A company that started off selling books has managed figure out a better way to handle logistics than the three main carriers. Complaint finished. I doubt I'll get my package any time soon, but I'm already figuring out contingencies. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
