I was doing the Dr. Prius battery life expectancy test today and got a hybrid system overheat warning. I purchased this car a couple weeks ago on FB marketplace and already knew the battery was going bad so that part didn't surprise me. Other than this test the car has been driving fine.

After doing research I learned that there should be noticeable motion in the inverter cooler and if mine was bad that might be why the battery overheated. The test was taking longer than the one minute Dr. Prius claims so I probably stressed the car.

Does the motion in the inverter cooler look normal?
