Beautiful day yesterday in the Sierra. Day hiked Cloudripper via South Lake and the pipeline trail. Ended up being a much tougher day than expected due to Vagabond Peak being a bit more tedious than based on the trip reports I’ve seen. 12.25 miles round trip with 4700 feet of cumulative gain. 10 hours on trail.
Planning to do Bishop Pass to Horshoe Meadow next year to knock out the southern section of the JMT. I have seen a couple of things online where Sequoia-Kings Pack Station will take a resupply down to Charlotte Lake. Was hoping anyone here who has used them could give some feedback and logistics. How much do they charge, do you set up a meet up on the trail or do they drop off at a bear box, how do you deliver the resupply to them, etc.?

Item has sold - The irons all have original shafts, and I have added whipping on those that looked a bit more weathered. I teak oiled all of the shafts, de-rusted the heads with a white vinegar soak/Flitz metal polish clearning, and they have all been re-pinned and epoxied. The MacGregor 5 mashie and MacGregor putter have stamped Crawford-MacGregor-Camby/Dayton shafts. They have all been regripped with suede leather wrap grips except for the MacGregor 5 mashie (its original leather wrap grip was in great shape, so I left it).
The AG Spalding Cro-flite 3 wood is a pyratone retrofit with a hickory shaft from another vintage pre-1935 wood. I have used that club in play quite a bit and it's a good player.

Successful summit of Conness via the standard route up the Lee Vining Creek drainage, and access of the south ridge just north of White Mountain. Easy to see why this is a Sierra classic. Fantastic mountain experience. I will say the trip reports I’ve read don’t capture the exposure of the final summit ridge. The “catwalk” was more than just walking across a narrow block of rock. Required a couple of climbing moves above an exposed ledge. And not a lot of space even on the less exposed bits up to the summit. Maybe the best summit view I’ve had in the Sierra. Panoramic view of every major feature in Yosemite from Half Dome to Dana. Plus view north to peaks near Tahoe and Matterhorn Peak. Not sure why I took so long to do this one…
$300 for a nice starter set of hickory clubs. All irons have been repinned and epoxied, and the matching Hagen woods are reshafted from original pyratones (vintage late 1920s based on the crown logo, so legal playing clubs).
The MacGregor and Donaldson irons have original stamped shafts.
