My Mum knitted me this cardigan out of untreated Bulgarian wool (I picked the yarn), and as lovely as it is, it’s currently really sheepy 😅. I’ve already resigned myself to picking out the dried grass and thistle that are still stuck in it but I am wondering what the best way to give it a proper wash is.

I do already have a few pure wool sweaters, so I’m familiar with washing wool garments the usual way, but this definitely needs some extra help. I’m considering using a touch of dish soap to get some of the extra lanolin and sheep gank out - I’ve seen some spinners do this for their fleece - but I would prefer not to felt it, so if anyone has any advice or experience with this issue I would appreciate it, thank you! ☺️
