Confused about Meguiars Ultimate Compound
I see only praise on the internet about this product. It works well, but my issue with it, after having experience with it myself, is the amount of oils it contains. The oils hide the defects and you can't see your work and progress. You have to wipe the panel with a degreaser everytime. And boom all the defects are back, it's like working blindfolded. I guess most people don't know this? Because they praise how good it is but then when the oils get removed after a few weeks or months the defects reappear. What am I missing? We want to actually remove the defects, no? Not just hide them for a couple of weeks. It's like using makeup.
These hiding of defects is especially huge on an old oxidized single stage red paint, like I have.
