Did a delivery truck hit my car or am I crazy?
I've got a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I've really tried to keep everything pristine over the years and today walked out to it having this damage on the rear bumper cover. I don't have a dashcam or home cameras, so I'm SoL there for now.
My question is, based on the photos, would it be safe to assume it was a delivery truck that hit me? The impact is what caused the crack on the top I believe, but looking closely underneath and can verify just by touch that something definitely jabbed down that far under. And if you have seen a bumper on one of these they do go quite deep under the car. I can't think of a car with such a long front end that would make impact on the most protruding feature of the bumper and still knick that far deep under. Also, with how square the impact mark is. Another thing to note is if it were a delivery truck, the slope of the driveway entrance would make the knick deep under there far more plausible given angles.
Regardless, would appreciate any thoughts or convictions on what kind of vehicle could've inflicted this or if I'm misinterpreting, thankfully can confidently fix myself and my neighbor has a Ring camera, so planning to ask if they can provide footage to have a case here. Admittedly, this is all speculation, but just looking for validation I suppose while the case is still in the air.
