I sold an item on ebay for $700, it was damaged during shipping through UPS. I refunded the buyer and told them to keep it. I bought UPS insurance on the item and packaged it properly. It looked as though it had been throw when the buyer sent me pictures when they received it. Ebay understandably won't reimburse me, and despite buying insurance, UPS is refusing to reimburse me. Is going higher on the USPS chain worth it? Trying to contact a UPS supervisor? What's the point of buying shipping insurance if its not going to cover damage during shipping?
