Lanters first five minutes looks lit and the Cult won't leave it alone.
As the title suggests, I've never believed in ghosts, and I'm still very much skeptical, but I wanted to share this experience that I had.
When I was 8 and alone in home for the very first time, I heard crying noises from downstairs(we lived in a two floor house then, both floors owned and used by my family), I initially assumed I was just hearing things but it kept getting louder and louder, so despite having nearly shit my pants, I went to investigate. I opened the doors and saw around a dozen people in black clothes crying with their faces obscured. By this point I felt like I was going to pass out when one of them handed me a tray full of tea to give to the others and told me that they're mourning one of their loved ones(giving tea to attendants in a funeral is very common in my country). That's all I remember from that night. I'd always assumed it was just a memory I made up in my head, until very recently.
I was at the pool with a relative of mine and we were chatting and talking about old memories when I brought up a funny memory from that house, and that's when I was hit by "did you know you moved out of that house because it was haunted?" by the said relative. I of course told him that he was bullshitting me and that ghosts aren't real. We kept going back and forth like that when he told me the exact same memory of the funeral and empty house that I had.
I was mind blown. I'd never told that story to a single person my whole life, not even after I was told the same thing happened to someone else in the same house. The said relative lived in another city then, and was staying at our house for a wedding, when he went home earlier than any of us did and the exact same thing happened to him.
It was only after that that I asked the rest of my family if our house was haunted and to my bewilderment, each story is crazier than the last.
I still don't believe in ghosts, but I've always liked paranormal stuff, and this is my paranormal experience.
PS I was looking for cool dragon images when I found this sub and decided to post this.
