Hi everyone, I’m planning to buy a Tesla Model 3 RWD Premium in Alberta.

I can afford to buy the car in cash, but I’d like to finance it instead so I won’t be considered a first-time buyer in the future.

Here’s my situation:

Self-employed

Last year’s income: 51,000 CAD

Credit score: 741

I’ve never bought a car or a house with financing before.

Do you think a 36-month term with a 30% down payment is a good idea, or should I increase the down payment to 50%?
