Hey everyone,
I just got into Star Wars: Empire at War and I keep hearing that mods are basically what keep this game alive.
I haven’t touched mods yet, so I’m wondering:
👉 What mod would you recommend for a complete beginner (Hour 0 player)?
👉 Something that’s not too overwhelming but still improves the experience
From what I’ve seen, there are a ton of big ones like:
- Thrawn’s Revenge
- Awakening of the Rebellion
- Republic at War
- Remake
…but I have no idea where to actually start.
I’ve read mixed things—some people say start vanilla first, others say jump straight into mods.
So I want to ask you guys:
💬 If you had to recommend ONE mod for a brand new player, what would it be and why?
💬 Or do you think it’s better to learn the base game first?
