Central root ball heavily compacted. Should I chop and prop?
My monstera's leaves have been turning yellow. Just checked for root rot, nothing I can see but parts of the soil still felt really dry despite watering less than 24 hours ago. However the central root ball is tightly compacted and still in the shape from the previous pot though I sized up a year+ ago. Is it time to chop and prop, untangle the root ball or just give it more water more often?
