Online abuse

Hi everyone!

Does anyone know or has experienced what the process is around filing a Ecrime complaint regarding receiving online abuse from someone you don’t know using different Instagram accounts to repeatedly insult you?

I have managed to download all the transcripts for the abusive Instagram messages they sent to me through various Instagram accounts.

I want to file an ecrime case on the Dubai police app. What happens after? Process? Consequences? Timeline?

I will definitely not be letting this go and will seek compensation for the number of insulting and abusive messages I’ve received. I’ve never met this person, or anything like that, but have managed to track down where they work from LinkedIn based on their name from instagram.

Any solid advice or feedback would be appreciated so I am aware of what is ahead as I have never dealt with this form of abuse and harassment before from someone I’ve never met or had a phone conversation with.

RDC Appeal Process

I’m tried to file an appeal for a RDC case verdict I received.

For the appeal, I have to put a 50% deposit for the appeal which is currently a 5 figure deposit which I cannot afford. I clicked on the option to waive the security deposit with the “no money option” and provided a hardship letter, my bank statements, and termination letter from my last employer as I am currently unemployed and financially struggling.

The RDC rejected my security deposit waiver request even with proof of hardship.

What is the point of having an option to click on “no money” to waive the security deposit if you are still going to deny people the right to an appeal even with hardship proof?

This RDC system is beyond my understanding! I would still have to pay any remaining arrears due regardless- even after my appeal (if it had gone through).

I’m beyond frustrated and upset right now.
I understand people “buy time” to hold off on paying arrears or facing eventual eviction, but that is not the case for my situation. I simply can’t pay a 5 figure security deposit at the moment but have good evidence and reasoning to appeal the amount I owe.

Any property lawyers here?

I pay monthly for Noon Priority, and honestly, Noon has the most disgusting and despicable customer service I’ve ever dealt with.

First, the AI chatbot is completely useless. If you receive the wrong food order and open a ticket, nothing actually happens. There’s no proper follow-up, and in my case, the ticket literally disappeared after about 12 hours with no resolution.

-I’ve called customer service 6 separate times. Every single call was the same experience:

Agents who don’t seem to care

Being told I’m in the wrong department

Excuses instead of solutions

Rude tone and dismissive attitude

Very poor English, making communication extremely frustrating

Completely inconsistent and often wrong information

What makes it worse is that there’s barely any proper way to complain in the app about food orders. You end up stuck with the chatbot, which leads nowhere, or you call and get bounced around.

At this point, it honestly feels designed to make people give up so they don’t have to refund you. I’ve had multiple arguments with agents just trying to get basic help for a wrong order.

I genuinely don’t understand how this company is functioning with customer service like this. Out of all the food delivery apps, this has been the worst experience by far.

If you’re considering paying for Priority, I strongly recommend saving your money. It’s not worth it.
