I got email with invitation today noon. Did anyone else heard back? Also is it a worth while event to attend?

Incoming for Gen Engineering and then plan to get CE or EE. I am going to Gaveston for 1st semester.

I was looking around Research at Galveston and found this professor, then I emailed him to express my interest and everything. And, eventually, we filled out the Research Course 491 Form and stuff for Machine Learning Undergrad Research.

I was wondering if anyone else has done research in their 1st or 2nd semester in college. If so, what is the experiance like? For me, they are giving 3 credit hours, and it's graded. Maybe some things I should be mindful of?

I still have to attend my NSC in the summer, but these are the classes I am planning to take in the fall.
