I’ve had my 2025 Chevy Trax for about a year now, and I’m honestly torn. On one hand, there is a lot to love. It’s surprisingly roomy, way more comfortable than I expected for the price point, and the safety features like adaptive cruise and lane control have been awesome for longer drives. Plus, the gas mileage has been solid—getting about 30 mpg in the city and pushing 40 on the highway.
But man, the tech issues are making it hard to stay positive, and my local dealership is absolutely worthless.
Since day one, the voice assistance/talk speaker hasn't worked at all. Every time I take it in, the service department just gives me the "couldn't replicate the issue" or "found nothing wrong" speech. On top of that, the front and back right speakers cut in and out whenever I hit a bump in the road, which is incredibly annoying.
The infotainment system is easily the worst part. It’s a slow piece of garbage. Lately, neither my phone nor my wife’s iPhone 17 will even connect via Bluetooth anymore. When I mentioned it to the dealer, they literally just told me to "just use the cable." Even navigating basic menus, like trying to pull up the gauges, takes forever to load.
I’m really starting to worry about what’s going to happen when a "real" mechanical issue pops up. If they can’t (or won't) fix a speaker or a Bluetooth connection, how are they going to handle anything serious?
Is anyone else dealing with these kinds of electrical/infotainment gremlins? And has anyone had luck getting a dealership to actually take these "minor" issues seriously?
