The Jade Beauty Tool with Roots in Traditional Chinese Gua Sha
I’ve recently been getting more into jade gua sha and picked up a few of these pieces that I thought were particularly nice.
For anyone unfamiliar with gua sha, the basic idea is using a smooth stone tool with gentle strokes across the face and neck. People commonly use it as part of their skincare routine for facial massage, helping with temporary puffiness and relieving some of the tension around the jaw and face. Personally, I also just find it quite relaxing.
One of the things I like about jade for these is that every piece looks completely different. These have some really interesting pale green, dark green and almost black natural-looking patterns, and even the two sides of the same piece can look surprisingly different.
I have a few available at $20 USD each + postage if anyone happens to be interested. Not trying to turn this into a hard sell, but happy to send more photos/videos or measurements if anyone wants to have a closer look.
I also post more of my jade finds and pieces on Instagram. My username is the same as my Reddit profile, or there’s a link in my bio if you want to have a look.
