Question About Trakata
Im currently working on a Star Wars short film where the main antagonist has mastered Trakata, the technique of turning a lightsaber off and back on again mid combat to catch opponents off guard.
In this story, he has spent about 10 years perfecting this technique, but I’m struggling to find cool ways to use it in the fight choreography outside of just turning it off mid clash.
I want him to seamlessly weave it into both his offense and defense so it feels like a natural part of his fighting style, not just a trick. I’m open to any ideas yall might have for how to pull that off.
Important character info:
He is Force sensitive
He is not aligned with the Jedi or Sith, he was rejected by both, so he has no code of honor, and using dirty or unconventional tactics is essential to how he fights
