With theNH series of movements becoming more expensive and difficult to find, possibly being followed down the same path by Miyota, what Chinese movements do you recommend as being good enough in AliExpress watches?
Finally, a month and a half after ordering, I received my Boderry Voyager S72. I'm loving it so far and it promises to be my daily beater. Price was great for $118 (NATO Strap).
The only thing to be mindful of is that they are not too good about updating you on planned ship dates. When I ordered, I did so with the expectation that it would ship in 6-10 days. I sent multiple emails to customer service and TBH did not get any meaningful updates from them, until one day, it shipped.
I like the watch enough to not get all upset about it but I do wish that they would set accurate expectations. I am not in a hurry -- but would like to know when I can expect to receive my purchase!
Bottom line... if you are like me, you will enjoy the watch. Just have the patience of a zen master.
