208g Hornady Black issue

300blk seems to be short stroking ONLY on Hornady 208g black rounds. They will not chamber the next round or lock back on an empty mag.   Other brands 220g and 200g cycle properly.  I had intended to use the 190g Hornady Subsonic brand as my main round (didn't have them w/me to test) but now i am concerned about using those rounds.

Normal carbine spring and buffer. I tried adjusting the SA gas block, took a weight out of the buffer all to no avail.

It is a 10.3 " Ballistic Advantage barrel on it running an Obsidian 9 can.

Any more experienced peeps out there with some helpful info on this? TIA.

Adjustable GB was the ticket.

Mainly it was a timing issue. F'd around with buffer and spring first while having cycling issues. A lot of failure to feeds then rarely a stove pipe. I went back to normal buffer and spring but it was solved by the Superlative Arms adjustable gas block.

Dialed it down one full turn after the initial 18 CCW revolutions to start, now ejecting at 4 o'clock and holding open on an empty mag with 0.0 failures in cycling. Whew.

Dedicated .30cal can OTW. Currently running a Obsidian 9 that only handles subs.
