I was caught speeding by an officer. He showed me the radar gun lock at 18km/h over but then said he saw me at 21km/h over so I'd be getting fined in the 21-30km/h over the speed limit bracket.

I've done some basic research and I'm pretty sure that the radar gun would've clocked me at the maximum speed it saw. I'm unsure if the police officers testimony of seeing me at 21 over will be enough to fine me at that bracket.

Obviously I'd want to save $300 and get the 18 over fine, but I don't want to take this to court and waste my time just to have to pay court fees as well.

Found a manual 2007 BMW e92 323i, it's got 184,176km. I contacted the dealership ~a month ago and was willing to pull the trigger and buy it but they let me know that the transmission cooked itself so they're currently getting a fresh one in. Haven't gone for an inspection yet, will do once the dealership swaps in the new transmission.

Just wondering what issues I should look out for on inspection and what a reasonable price would be if everything checks out?
