(Spoilers extended) Are there not enough medics in asoiaf?
So i am reading right now AGOT for the second time and when catelyn was getting Tyrion to the Eyrie and meets the Knight of the Valle she asks for the maester to see Ser Rodrik wounds but she is denied and is offered a septon.
Aren't there any other doctors in one of the most important houses in westeros? I asume there are but sometimes It seems like only the maesters are used for this and for some reason there is only one per house.
