Kirk wraparound variant torso

Originally had this in pure green, had it remade in Lime Green and it looks better! Added a back strap (though think the outline could be lighter/softer). Kept the black undershirt to keep it skintone agnostic in case I wanted to use it on another character.

My Star Trek TOS bridge at Brickfair Virginia

Video taken during the "World of Lights" event - where they turn off the building lights and let the MOCs shine.

Help with making a standing iris mechanism.

Pictured: one of my test arrangements of 2x 24121 rings with 24x yellow/brown liftarm connections.

I've previously built a Stargate with lights and a spinning glyph ring and working on the final element - a working iris shield. I've been toying around with 24121 gear rings - trying having the lift arms connected inside or outside the rings.

One consistent issue I've had is keeping the gears aligned - I'd like to keep the center clear if at all possible while allowing the rings to rotate with relation to each other. This is also meant to stand vertically.

So, my specific question: are there any Lego pieces I could use to run along that inner groove to try and keep the rings aligned or would I need to go 3D print a ring to keep them concentric? Or might there be some other mechanism? I'd like to keep it pure Lego if I can...

I'd then have the liftarms hinge together outside the the rings.

Does "handheld" have a specific standard?

Things meant to be held by one hand (TV remote, cellular telephone, TI-83 calculator, etc) generally adhere to certain size limits as, unless you're Andre the Giant, humans have similarly sized hands.

Is there a specific standard on that anywhere? Like "no more than X inches thick and Y inches wide"? Looking to make a custom prop and curious what, if any, size restrictions would help with form factor.

Ready Room behind the scenes

I'm curious - where there ever any behind the scenes shots showing what the other side of the replicator nook in the Ready Room looked like? I'm assuming it just opened right onto the stage.

Looking to motorize a Wheel of Fortune MOC

Hello. I've been working on a Wheel of Fortune MOC and, in anticipation of a convention in August, looking to motorize the wheel.

What I'm after is effectively a motor to spin the wheel plugged into the mains - preferably with a dimmer switch to control speed. I've been able to use the Powered Up function remote controller to control my motorized stargate, but that only appears to work when paired with my cell phone via Bluetooth, which is annoying.

I've browsed through the Lego site and Bricklink, didn't really see anything like what I'm looking for (or just didn't recognize it) and curious what, if anything, can be used for this. I can't be the first person to try and do something like this. Someone has to have more experience with motorizing Technic sets that could be applicable.

My TOS bridge

An Original Series bridge I designed. Four different lighting circuits with 80 lights - i particularly like the flickering displays. Rather proud of how she turned out.

Graphics are paper wrapped around Lego. Its not finished - still need to do the overhead pictures.
