Grizzl-E Review
As the title suggests here is my initial review of the Grizzl-E club. Hopefully this review can help folks considering joining and provide feedback for United Chargers (the Grizzl-E company). I intend to edit/update this post over time to provide more information. This may get longs so please see subheadings so you can skip to whatever you may want.

Update: I sent them an email with three questions and some unsolicited advice and they got back to me the next day with a good email. Didn’t feel like a boiler plate “thanks buddy👍” So I really appreciate that.

ORDERING AND DELIVERY:
I placed my order on Tuesday, April 28 2026. On May 4th, Grizzl-E shipped out the package from Etobicoke. So 4 business days to ship, 6 regular days. The package was delivered to me on May 5th (I live near North Bay). Despite what the emails said, I did not need to sign for the package -- some people may see this as a positive or a negative. For me it's a positive since I don't have to co-ordinate being home at the time of delivery. Shipping cost $40 and change. For a 25 pound product and overnight delivery, l'm happy with that.
Unboxing:
Package arrived in good shape, no damage, content slip on the outside. Inside, all the stuff was nicely in the Grizzl-E soft carrying bag. I got the Grizzl-E Mini Connect 40A.
Soft Carrying Case:
I love that they include this, and it's great. But I think it could be slightly improved from a great product to a flawless one. Here are my notes:
Installation and Set-up
Super duper easy. It's nearly plug n go. It comes with ample digestible flyers explaining the steps. Takes no more than 5-10 minutes. Regarding the hardware:
The mounting cradle is easy and sturdy. Three screws. No notes.
The EasyEvPlug has two small issues. It's four screws and the upper two are embedded deep into the plastic design, requiring a very long drill bit. If they just moved these holes from tucked inside the mold to 1-2 inches higher, on the top and outside the mold, installation would be perfect. The EV plug has a rubber cover, this is nice. However, you have to take the cover off to holster the plug on their EasyEvPlug. However, so you don't lose it, the cover it stays attached via a little rubber cord that it just dangles from. It seems weird to have a cover that cannot be used 99% of the time. Obviously the cover will be off when plugged in, but it also has to be off when sitting in the wall mount/holster. So I guess it's only meant to be covered when transporting the EVSE. Kinda weird.
Misc improvement that could be made:
- Please switch to robertson screws instead of phillips. Robertson is Canadian and a better design, harder to strip.
I recognize this section probably sounds quite critical and/or nit-picky but that's just because the overall product is great. Despite all I've said above, I'd give the hardware quality and installation process an 8.5 or 9/10. I'm just spitballing about how we could bring that up to a 10/10 no notes.
Daily use (including App):
It's great, does exactly what you'd want. It's been a week now and there's no issues, nothing frustrating. Just plug and it does its thing. The app is clear and I like that you can input your energy rates into it as well as a number of other features. It's graphs are satisfying too. My only complaint is that in order to see how much you've earned in rewards you have to open the app, click the banner at the bottom, and go to their website. It would be really satisfying and much simpler if when you opened the app it just showed your total at the top similar to a banking app. I'm at $1.20 so far.
Deposit Refund and Payout:
I got my deposit refund in a timely matter. I don't recall specifically when I first used the charger and when the deposit refund came in but it was automatically issued and it felt quick. I wasn't sitting around wondering when it would come in. So that's all good and legit.
As far as payouts go, I have yet to experience this since I'm only at $1.20 as I mentioned. I did email Grizzl-E today and suggest that they offer discounts on their own products if you redeem payout money for the entire transaction or part of it. That would be a nice bonus and seems like a sensible business move to me. So fingers crossed something like that emerges.
Conclusion:
After my first week, I am super happy and would not only do this again but am talking about it to everyone I know. I chose Grizzl-E because of the negligible start-up cost ($100 deposit + shipping). I will update this post when I have more to share. I hope this post helps!
