Hi everyone, I recently moved to a new city and was invited to join a Kill Team group. I’ve never played Warhammer before, although I love board games.
While looking for a budget-friendly option, I came across the Kill Team: Starter Set (2024).
On one hand, I’d like to have a reasonably competitive team so I can hold my own in a beginner Kill Team league. On the other hand, I also like the idea of having the full starter set in case someone like my brother wants to play with me.
It’s a beginner competitive league, but with my limited budget, I don’t want to make the investment only to start at a disadvantage in every match.
Do you think the two teams included in the set (Angels of Death and Plague Marines) can hold up against other current teams? I don’t mean whether the box includes everything needed to play competitively in a league (since from what I’ve read, it doesn’t include equipment cards), but rather whether the teams themselves are strong enough to be viable.
