Be careful buying via your network provider

Had an issue with my Magic V5, after speaking with Honor, they won't honour the free screen replacement within the first year if you bought the phone from your mobile/cell network provider.

My internally screen has broken between me folding it to go to bed and waking up in the morning, but it's "not in warranty" even though it's 7 months old, and speaking to Honor customer support, they won't let me use the replacement screen offer as I didn't buy it directly from them.

I can understand (sort of), but I would now dissuade anyone buying a Honor phone through their network (where most people tend to in most of Europe/the US I think).

Honor Service Centre UK

Has anyone used this at all. Woke up today to find that my Magic V5 internal screen is no longer working.

When opening it, it's just a bright white line on the left and the rest of the screen is just yellow.

If I open it slowly, I can see the screen sort of working, so I'm guessing a ribbon cable has maybe come loose?

Any one got any experience with sending a phone back to them for repairs? That's my secondary option, going to speak to my phone operator, as I bought it off them and they should sort it out first.
