I received a 6-cup Bialetti as a gift recently. I tried making a few cups to season the unit before consuming, but am getting enormous amounts of grounds coming up and clogging the top. I haven’t gotten consistent liquid coming up like I’ve seen in other videos.

Is there supposed to be a filter at the bottom of the top piece? Here is a picture of mine.
