2026 Yonex VCore 98 strings

Bought two of these recently.

I'm coming from the TFight which is obviously a pretty controlled racket, and i'm finding the switch hard to tame.

I mean, this racket absolutely wants you to rip it, and when you do, it's so rewarding. I LOVE the way it plays, but it can be a bit much sometimes.

I love how this racket looks so want to keep it (thats the most important thing right), so what can I do to dampen the power a bit and make it more controlled?

Requirements:

- Want a lower launch angle and more control.
- Precision would be nice
- Doesn't need to be particularly comfortable but you'll see from section below I have an upper limit.

What I've tried:

Otoro tour at 48lbs - Was too stiff. Hurt my arm
Regular Otoro 48 - I like this, no arm pain. But i'm finding theres no pocketing. Ball comes straight off the strings, not allowing for any precision
Otoro tour crossed with Yonex PTP (48-46) - Decent, but it notches quickly

What I'm considering:

Otoro crossed with restring sync (heard this is a great combo)
Otoro crossed with snap (same as above)
Grapplesnake tour m8 full bed (I LOVE this string in general)

So, given the above. Does the 10s hive mind know of another way I can tame this red beast with strings i'm unaware of or in ways i dont know yet?

Since stringing my Vcore with a full bed of Otoro tour at 48lbs I’ve been getting arm pain.

Previously used Grapplesnake tour m8 with no problems.

Put in the otoro for extra control.

So, saying that, my on-hand options are to cross it with:
Polytour pro
Tour m8
Solinco confidential

Or I can switch to a full bed of any of the above. Tempted to try confidential but I’ve heard it’s just as stiff.

Or I can just be patient and order a completely new set.

Note, control is the main priority here.

What say you?

-- EDIT:
Also can have a full bed of normal OTORO. But i hear this is pretty lively?
