Howard leigh impact sport earmuffs repair
Hello gang, new here and would like to ask the hive mind for some advice. I picked up a pair of howard leigh impact sport electronic earmuffs that were sold as broken for next to nothing. The battery compartment had obvious signs of heavy battery leakage and upon opening i could see the damage to the cable ran all the way through to the active side where the pcb is. I replaced the main cable connecting the two sides and redid the wiring. One of the speaker , on the side of the battery compartment was bad so replaced it with another one that had same size and impedance. The issue is that side with the replaced speaker is far quieter that the side with the pcb. Have tested the microphone on the bad side and it is working fine, just inverted the connection on the pcb for a trial and it is picking up audio fine. How would you go about diagnostics with this. The board has been cleaned with contact spray.
