How to effectively get a handle on expanding your hero pool?
I've been playing Overwatch pretty much consistently since release, but I've always mainly gravitated towards Comp. As a result, I find it hard to practice heroes (I know that's what QP is for, but it's near impossible to actually play in QP).
My pool isn't small, by any means. Tank I have Sigma, Orisa, Zarya, and D.Va. DPS I have Reaper, Ashe, Soldier, Sierra (a WIP), and a bit of Hanzo. Support I'm comfortable with almost all heroes except Brig, Wuyang, and Juno.
Don't get me wrong, I can play almost any hero passably (Except Genji), but being high Plat/low Diamond, it sucks looking at an entire toolbox and only knowing a few tools. Is it "acceptable" to practice heroes in Comp, provided your team is doing well? Obviously if you're floundering while your team is struggling, you'd be an asshole. But I imagine that if the other 5 members (I play 6v6 open queue) have it handled, is there anything wrong with experimenting?
