We got dark red at home

Two more from my untried drawer, the peachy-pink metallic (I guess I'd call it a foil?) and the red crackle. The other red creme is one I've had for a long time but haven't worn in years. I chose it for this because it matches the crackle pretty closely.

When I finish my "try all the untried" project, I'm moving on to "wear all the polishes in the collection", so this will just put that red creme on the "don't need to wear this one right away" category. Mind you, it's going to take literally years to wear everything in my collection, even if I change my manicure every other day and use multiple polishes at once, so... (I will be doing destashing, though, as I go, Marie Kondo style and if I don't love it, it's out.)

Jade jelly manicure

I did this with purples not too long ago, and I had a bunch of green jellies in my untried drawer, so... It's a little bright for jade, but the overall effect is pretty cool and it looks a little brighter in the photos than IRL.

So that's four polishes from my untrieds. Yay. 😄 💅

We got rose gold magnetic at home

Two polishes from my untrieds! The first two coats are a deep pink with a strong copper magnetic pull, and then there are two coats of rose gold magnetic top coat over. I did do a lot of re-magnetising (glass bead style) as I went. Worth it.

Doesn't really show in the image, but my nails exactly match my rose gold rings.

We got lime green at home

I purposefully blurred the thumb shot to kind of show off the glitter a little more. We all know how hard it is to photograph sparkly stuff, I'm sure.

The non-glitter is jelly, with a holo glitter topcoat. The jelly is pretty sheer, even at three coats, so next time I wear this (years from now, probably), I'll use better undies.

So that's two more from my untried drawer.

We got orange polish at home

Still working through my untried polishes. These are by two completely different makers but they go together so, so perfectly. One is magnetic, done in velvet style, and the other is, rather obviously, glitter.

Was going for amethyst, but I think it's more like purple jade

https://preview.redd.it/lal997qsnzeh1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d692a64413ae500325181e40a9c10dafd9f6256a

Three purple jellies, every nail is different. This kind of manicure is fun to do. It's also really easy, but it tends to impress people who are not into nail art/manicures because it looks complicated. 😁💅

Anyway, three more from my untried drawer. I don't know if I'll get through them all by the end of the year because I have a lot of holiday polishes that I always want to wear (though there are several untrieds amongst those, as well), but I'm happy with the pace I'm maintaining in this Try All the Untried Polishes Project.

We got brown polish at home

https://preview.redd.it/d6mn29kbkdeh1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ef24d355d45c93edd3b223dbed0ad71baa588c84

Blurry to show the glitter sparkle. Yeah, that's it. I did it on purpose! (But it really does showcase that glitter, which is why I included it.)

Years ago, I had a nice brown polish with a gold shimmer, but it looked awful with my skintone and gave me lobster hands. 🦞 This brown, however, is one of the newer ones in my untried drawer and it's got that gold shimmer but something about the tone looks much better on me, and I'm happy with that.

The glitter polish is one of only two brown glitter polishes I have, and the other is a mix of brown, black, and a little gold, so not that similar at all.

Two more from my untried drawer. Yay.

We got creme polish at home. And also toppers.

https://preview.redd.it/fn54m5r7mldh1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a045df5804de5741d5143e55430e3e9637acb541

This was VERY difficult to photograph. The colour came out almost neon in the photos (I had to tone it down a little in Photoshop). It definitely is a lime-chartreuse green, but it's not neon.

The topper is tiny, round flakie-style glitters. I wasn't a fan of this one and almost destashed it until I tried it over this green. The photos really do NOT do it justice. It's SO pretty. 😍

Anyway, two more from my untried drawer. Yay.

I finished a bottle!

https://preview.redd.it/ldb17q9t9ddh1.jpg?width=768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=df11b22e64e762acfa6629f13127e83739b007fa

Okay, it's a base coat, but still, I finished it off! I don't count base and top coats as part of my collection (though I do keep track of them in a database), but I still have a drawer for base coats and a drawer for top coats, so using them up is still a good thing. 😊

I also blurred the parts of the bottle that showed the name and brand. I hope this is sufficient to meet the rules of the sub. I will keep the bottle because they're useful to have for various things (frankening, putting oil in them, etc. etc.).

We got Magnetic Toppers at home

This kind of wowed me. The base colour is actually a reallly, really dark blue creme, and then the magnetic topper is silver, done in a "glass bead" style, and then I used a topcoat that has some very fine holo glitter in it.

I'm actually kind of blown away by this. I did NOT expect to be so distracted, but by golly, I am. 👀🤩

Two more from my untried drawer. 💅

We got crelly glitter (and jelly) at home

It doesn't show up well in the photos, but that jelly really makes me want me to get myself a glass of red wine (which I don't even drink because it gives me a headache). The glitter in the crelly is pretty subtle, and really difficult to photograph.

So that's two more from my untried drawer. Yay.

We got jelly polish (and glitter) at home

This is two different red jelly polishes, a deeper red on the bottom, then a layer of red glitter shard topper, then a coat of bright red jelly.

That's three more polishes from my untried drawer. I MAY meet my goal of clearing that drawer by the end of the year at the rate I'm going. 😊

Crelly Blue

This is supposedly a jelly polish, but it really goes on and looks like a crelly to me, despite the name. I'm not complaining, because this light blue actually looks okay on me and only brings out the blue veins in my hand a little bit, so I'm good with it. This also has a light holo top coat.

One more from my untried drawer.

We got glitter (and crackle top coat) at home

I recently did a polish count (I keep a database) and to my surprise, I have more purple than any other colour. I expected it to be red, but that was second (by ONE bottle). So here's some more purple! This glitter is a one coat wonder, no top coat becuse it dries down matte and lookes really beautiful.

So that's two more from my drawer of untried polishes (the purple under the crackle is an oldie but I haven't worn it in a long time). Also, there's a bit of holo microglitter on the crackle, because it's just a creme and I wanted a bit more sparkle to bring it all together.

We got magnetic multichrome at home

Not a bingo card manicure, but one of my untried. I have a dental appointment tomorrow, and my dentist loves seeing what I do with my manicures, so I picked something fun.

u/Jane_the_Quene — 2 months ago

We got Flaky Topper at home

These photographs really, really do not do any of these polishes justice, sadly. The flaky topper over the lilac shimmer is damn near magical. 😍

Three more polishes from my untried drawer. 😊

2010 called, they want their trend back. I told them no, because I still like crackle top coat

Three from my untried drawer (yes, that gold crackle top coat was untried, believe it or not, because it's the second of two bottles of gold crackle top coat that I own). The brown is a warm, coppery shimmer with a single coat of chocolate brown jelly on top. I very much recommend the "jelly-over-shimmer" thing to try. You can get some really gorgeous effects.

We got Neon Pink at home

This is a lot more vibrant and saturated in person than it looks in the photo. Definitely neon, and one more from my "untried" drawer.
