r/GatchaLifeCringe has grown into a busy, fast‑moving community, and with that growth comes more posts, more comments, and more moderation needs. We’re looking to expand our team so we can keep the subreddit running smoothly, maintain quality standards, and make sure the space stays fun, safe, and welcoming.
We over at r/uknews are looking for some new moderators. We are a subreddit primarily about…well, news related to the United Kingdom.
As it’s a news sub, politics and sensitive content is often discussed but also fun and chill stuff. If anyone feels like helping to mod the sub feel free to message us directly.
We’re primary looking for someone to help clear up the mod queue and cut down on hate speech but any contributions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
r/whatsthisrock is looking to recruit new mods.
Subscriber count: ~666,000
Weekly visitors as of today: 271,000
Weekly contributions as of today: 3,300
Our subreddit has grown significantly, and with that growth comes an increase in rule-breaking comments, low-effort jokes, and automated spam. As you know, this is a strict, science-focused Identification community. We require all comments to provide a physical rock/mineral ID or directly contribute to the scientific identification process.
We do not allow folklore, superstitions, unhelpful jokes, or arguments (that are not constructive) in our identification threads.
To keep our queue clean and maintain the quality of the sub, we are opening applications for new moderators.
What We Are Looking For:
Before you click the application link below, you must thoroughly read our community sidebar and rules page. Please also review Reddit's Moderator Code of Conduct. We have implemented automated gatekeeping measures to weed out low-effort or automated submissions. If you do not follow the exact instructions hidden within our documentation, your application will be instantly and permanently deleted without review. If you are ready to help us clean up the queue and keep the focus on rock identification, please apply using the link below:

Thanks for your help keeping our subreddit clean and running smoothly. Rock on!
Hi I want to be the moderator of a sub reddit but also I create my own sub reddit.
r/WhyWereWeOkWithThis is a 3 month old sub with just under 80k members. We usually get between 330-775k visitors a week and 2.5 to 7k contributors. We are SFW.
We get lots of sensitive content come through so have quite a lot of automations set up that come through to our queue that we need to sort through. The majority of these are approved, but have to be checked to make sure overtly triggering, rule breaking and off-topic content doesn’t slip through. All of these automations, and more, are explained in our onboarding.
Ideally, we are looking for experienced moderators. Currently, the role would only be to approve and remove posts and comments but with likely increase in permissions to modmail and user permissions on a probationary period in the future.
Due to the sensitive content and the nature of our sub, we have a thorough vetting process so users must have appropriate user history (ie, no problematic opinions shared) and must answer a handful of test questions we have to ensure they have a decent understanding of our rules.
We encourage applicants to read our rules and new wiki before applying as this will be key to the process!
We are looking for intersectional feminist individuals who have an inclusive mindset and are empathetic to victims of grooming, abuse, and a strong commitment to protecting our community. Applicants must bear in mind that we get triggering content come through the queue regarding eating disorders, DA and SA so please do not apply if you feel this would be harmful for your wellbeing.
We’re trying to make the sub a more lighthearted and less trauma oriented place, as it has been intended to be from the start — which is a large part of why we’ve put together our wiki. This’ll be a big part of your involvement as a junior mod!
We currently are a friendly and fun group of 6 mods who work great as a team, but due to how active the sub is, need more help! We’re a vibrant and very queer and neurodivergent inclusive group and will welcome and support you! :D <3
We have a comprehensive onboarding written to support new mods joining the team and are happy to answer any and all questions when settling in.
Since we have a LOT of workload, a small team and lives of our own, we have had to use some AI assistance with certain tasks (though we would prefer to stick to humans), so applicants must be cooperative with this in the sense that this involvement won’t cause drama. AI use is minimal and only due to simply not having enough mods.
Thank you!!!!
ETA: here is our application but please go through our sub (incl rules & wiki) before applying. Modmail us if you have any questions.

When you hear the subreddit World Politics, you probably think of the long-established subreddit, which is not a place dedicated to serious discussion of world politics. That’s where r/WorIdPoIitics (r/WoridPoiitics) comes in. Our goal is to build Reddit’s premier hub for global politics, international affairs, and geopolitical discussion.
We’re looking for moderators who see the potential of this community and want to help build it from the ground up. Ideal candidates have experience moderating a similar subreddit, are active on Reddit, and are willing to crosspost relevant content to help grow the community.

We have been growing much faster than expected with around 4000 members in 2 months and more than 25 posts. We need some mods to help us manage the community such as checking violated posts or helping to approve comments simply making our community a better place. If you are a dog lover and like guilty dogs the r/dogguilt team really hopes you can join us in moderating.
Thanks guys,
r/dogguilt team
