After installing HKS Hipermax R on my 2010 FD2 Civic Type R, I started hearing creaking when I go over parking lot ramps, speed bumps, and sweeping intersection turns. Basically whenever the car is at angle. This is more apparently when the front right wheel makes contact with a bump/right turn on ramps.

Any idea where to start looking? I’ve already replaced the OEM top mounts.

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently installed some HKS Hipermax R coilovers on my FD2 Civic Type R. Day 3 after installation it developed a loud creaking noise when going over bumps, crests on the road, and initially, moving the car from a standstill in first gear (that has seem to gone away).

Does this sound sound familiar to anyone or if it can point me in any direction?
