Passenger urine in seat, uber refuses cleaning reimbursement
Dropped off a passenger and a ridiculous smell of urine was present, I dealt with it assuming it was just an odor that would be gone once she was gone. The smell never went away and when I checked the back seat it was the most putrid urine smell you could ever imagine. UTI type of urine smell. There was nothing to take a photo of since there was no visible stain but I did anyway when they demanded it.
I tried to clean it myself with enzyme solutions and anything else I could get but nothing worked. Ended up having no choice but to take it in for a professional clean. They specified on the receipt that they removed/extracted urine from seat. Uber support refused to reimburse and cited reasons such as “cleaning fees are only meant for large messes requiring a professional cleaning” and “no proof in the photo.”
Anybody had an experience like this before? Any advice? Am I just SOL with a company that treats their drivers like cattle?
