CI Games have signed a separation agreement with Epic Games

This almost certainly means that Lords of the Fallen 2 will be coming to Steam when it releases. (Leaks seem to indicate it will be releasing in August.)

The lack of communication from The Chinese Room is disappointing.

While it's very nice that they continue to work on the game with improvements and DLC, Bloodlines 2 has been broken in various ways for almost three weeks now following the Spring Update. The new patch introduced issues with save corruption, especially when swapping between the DLC and the main game. They have introduced game breaking quest bugs where you can't proceed. They had introduced crashing bugs. There are now issues with assets taking way too long to load in, both in the base game and in the DLC. Female Phyre now has visible facial hair if you use makeup. People are reporting that performance is worse for them after the most recent patch, and it was never great to begin with. There's also issues with shaders becoming corrupted and having to be manually deleted and rebuilt. This is all over the Steam forums.

People are sitting around hoping that maybe they'll hotfix it, but there is no communication or guarantee of anything. For all we know we could be waiting until the end of June (which is the end of Q2) when the next DLC releases for this stuff to get patched. TCR are completely silent. For the Halloween and Christmas updates they quickly released a hotfix the following week to fix the game breaking bugs those introduced. But here, it has been almost three weeks with nothing.

And the thing is, there are other issues . Since December, the game has had issues with controllers not working, especially for people who have foreign language keyboards. The Steam forums have a bunch of people reporting this, and nothing has been done about it in the past 5 months.

And this is reflected in the recent Steam reviews. Despite making heaps of improvements including overhauling the melee combat people, are less happy with the game now than 5 months ago because it's now in a broken, frustrating state for a significant number of people.

It feels frustrating that the game is managed in this way and that TCR are not doing anything to manage things. They're not drawing up a list of known issues and saying, "Okay, we're investing these, and we are/are not working on a hotfix."

I'm really looking forward to the Summer update which is bringing guns to the base game presumably. But the prospect of having the game be broken for two months and then MAYBE it gets fixed when the DLC drops is ridiculous. Worse, what if the Summer Update introduces more game breaking bugs? Do they hotfix those or do we wait another few months?
