Controller support mods

I wanna buy the first Bloodlines on Steam but I know the game only has keyboard and mouse controls, which I am horrible at. I am much more comfortable with a controller in my hand. So are there any mods that can enable controllers for gameplay?

Preferably a Dualshock 4 or Dualsense but I'll accept Xbox controller support as well.

Tolly and the rats? (Loose Cannon DLC)

I found this when I handed the package to the Prince. What the hell is this? What is happening? Is this an easter egg or something?

Benny's reaction was perfect: "What the f*ck are you doing, you weird little fruitcake?".

The patient w Dr Malcom

SPOILERS- games 20+ years but yeah I don't know how to black out text

Question. Was anything supposed to happen with the patient on the table? You throw Auspex on him and he glows purple and there are times where he's standing on the table.

So purple means diablerie? No?

Sometimes he will start talking. But I've never been able to talk to him.

So what's his deal? Anyone know?

Frenzy: Why did my Malk frenzy?

So I've played this game many times and I've never had a character frenzy (as I always choose the humanity options).

My favourite character to play is as a female Malk.

And yesterday she frenzied for the first time and I have no idea why.

I was in the Plague Bearer Sewer and right after talking to Brother whats-his-name, my Malk frenzied and killed him (which I liked because it was my first time it happened and I hate this zombie questline so that was nice).

The reason I'm stumped is because my Malk's humanity is at 8 and her blood was like half way full.

Any reason for this or was it just a fluke?

Does protean claw damage scale with melee or unarmed?

I'm doing a gangrel run and was wondering if the damage from the protean discipline scaled with the unarmed stat or with the melee stat.

Thanks in advance

Favorite power combinations in bloodlines 2?

Something I see no one talk about online. Combinations of different clan abilities that somehow works really well together. Has anyone found any super satisfying ones?

Hard Lock?

I'm in Fu Syndicate but I can't get the gas tanks to load without having to noclip out of the room. But now I can't even hack any of the computers to delete the kindred data. What happened to my game

Arg Tender

So long shot but does anybody have a link to a video of the full tender to live stream that led to the original announcement of vtmb2? I watched it live at the time and I was talking to some friends about it recently and I really wanted to watch it again.

Completed Loose cannon DLC on hard and got “Mean streets achievement” but not “Easy street”

Am I meant to replay the whole dlc again on casual difficulty? I was under the assumption that If i played the DLC on hard then both achievements would unlock, like most difficulty related achievements

Edit: Got the achievement by speedrunning the DLC on casual. Took me about an hour lol

Vampires on web be like

I wonder why game portrayed vampire cybernerds as serious web specialists while whole Shreknet is one big honey pot monitored by FBI, Anonymous, Order of Saint Leopold, random self called vampire hunters and bored college dudes

So, I just finished the game. And Fabien...

>!

...Fabien’s storyline feels unfinished, not deliberately unresolved.

I actually liked Fabien a lot. His character arc worked for me, and the scene where he turns the situation around against Campbell is genuinely strong. His final sacrifice is visually and emotionally effective too.

But that is exactly why the ending frustrated me.

The Rebar Killer investigation is presented like a major ongoing mystery. The modern cases, the messages directed at Fabien, his assistants being targeted, Lou’s reaction, the repeated memory resets, and the implication that someone is deliberately reopening an old wound in Seattle all build toward what feels like a major breakthrough.

Then Fabien dies, Phyre says “case is closed,” and the game immediately rushes into the Safia finale.

But the case is not closed.

We still do not know who restarted the modern Rebar killings, who contacted Fabien, what their actual goal was, how much Safia knew, whether the Seattle Sabbat network was involved, or why Lou considered Fabien’s investigation dangerous enough to start cleaning up people around him.

A lot of discussion seems to assume that Fabien himself was responsible, perhaps in some dissociative or memory-wiped state. But that explanation does not really work for me. If Fabien was capable of carefully constructing crime scenes designed to trigger his own buried memories, then he already knew enough to create those triggers. At that point, why would he need the investigation to trigger anything at all?

The modern cases feel more like someone deliberately using the old Rebar Killer pattern to pull Fabien back into the investigation. One victim even sends a message specifically to him. That suggests someone knew his history, knew he had investigated the original killings, and wanted him to start digging again.

Safia makes sense as a possible instigator in one way: she could know enough about Gideon, the old Court, and the buried Rebar Killer case to use it as a pressure point against Seattle. Or Gideon himself, who seems remarkably aware of what Fabien is going to say and do, may have known enough about Fabien’s investigations to feed Safia fragments of the old case.

That still would not necessarily mean Safia knew the full truth about Campbell, or personally arranged every modern scene. She could have been given enough information to destabilize the Court and reopen old tensions, then benefited when Fabien’s investigation started uncovering things she did not fully control.

There is also Misty.

Fabien’s childe appears in one of the modern cases and then largely disappears from the investigation. That is a very specific loose end. She has a direct blood connection to Fabien, a personal connection to the old Rebar Killer history, and enough proximity to the present-day cases that she should at least remain part of the investigation.

I am not saying Misty is definitely the killer. There is not enough evidence for that. But the game gives us a named childe of Fabien, places her inside this case, and then leaves her with almost no follow-up. In a detective story, that feels like either a deliberate red herring or a future reveal. Here, it just feels abandoned.

That ambiguity could have been interesting if the game gave us enough evidence to build a solid answer. Instead, it stops right as the investigation feels like it is about to make its biggest breakthrough.

Leaving some mysteries unresolved can work. But this does not feel like intentional ambiguity with enough clues for the player to solve. It feels like the detective plot was building toward its final reveal and then got cut off because the game needed to move to the final boss.

The frustrating part is that it would not even have taken much to improve it. A short epilogue scene with Phyre finding one last recording, document, surveillance file, or clue from Fabien’s assistant could have given the investigation an actual endpoint, even if the larger Sabbat conspiracy remained open.

Honestly, this is why a Fabien DLC would make far more sense to me than a side story for characters I barely connected with. Let us play one of his previous investigations before another memory wipe. Let us see him use his abilities as a detective, uncover part of the truth, hide evidence for his future self, and then lose it all again.

Or let Phyre continue the final case after Fabien is gone.

Fabien gets a beautiful death scene, but he does not get to finish the case that defined him. That feels less like meaningful unresolved mystery and more like a missing final chapter.

Oh, and please, give him a face!!!

Remembering who she used to be (Thorne)

Had something different done as I get closer to readying my manuscript for peer review.

This is the first time I've ever had Morrigan drawn, which is crazy since she's the starting point of Thorne's story, both as a VtM character, and as the protagonist of her own story!

ts game is so peak

first time ever playing vampire the masquerade, finally got it to work on my macbook and god i love this game so much .
first time the new vegas itch has been scratched in so so long. this games atmosphere and aesthetic really is unmatched, there’s nothing else that i’ve found thats like this.
i listen to a lot of trip hop and this game has made me appreciate the genre even more, now when im listening i feel like some badass vampire.
u guys might like these songs, they’re from my playlist but i feel like they could also fit playing in the clubs found in game.
taxicab messiah - kidney thieves
K - kidney thieves
sand - puracane
choice - outcast
life and breath - outcast
sparrow - 21 hertz
room to breathe - trickpony
i’m around 20 hours in just got to chinatown. such an amazing game but i do definitely see how combat focused it gets in the latter half.
here’s my tremere character i love how she looks sm, using some mesh mod to remove the glasses, a skin and eye mod also from the nexus and a recolor of the heavy armor i found on some ancient modding website.
focused the build on using the blood magic shit, katana and colt python for a back up.

About Therese and Jeanette

I know Malkavians can never be cured of their affliction, but wouldn't letting the other sibling die mean that's kinda close enough?

She may have no idea that she just believed she was two people and that she didn't really kill her sister, but she's no longer acting like two people if one of them dies, right?

What if Paradox simply remastered Bloodlines before committing to making a sequel?

Logically it seems like remastering the original BL first for modern hardware would have been a great step prior to deciding to create BL2. Why hasn't there been a remaster when it seems like it would have been both easier and cheaper than creating a new game?

I hate this screen so much

Not only is it squished, the background is very grating on the eyes. Genuinely don't get Skyline Apartments on some playthroughs to avoid this torture
