Today, I finished playing Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 for the second time and went back to rewatch the version developed by Hardsuit Labs. Only then did I realize how much the game was downgraded, how it was transformed from a deep RPG into a narrative adventure game. I guess we will never see a remake of Bloodlines 1 or a true sequel to the second game, because Paradox has grown completely tired of the IP due to the poor sales of the second installment. I hope another studio or company brings us a new entry in the future, because the World of Darkness universe and Vampire: The Masquerade truly deserve more adaptations, especially in the RPG genre.
