Why is the price for a part more than 2x on a Desktop browser?

Why is the price for a part more than 2x on a Desktop browser?

Title says it all. I'm searching for a part on mobile, went to Desktop to place the order and it's literally twice the price.

Quantity is 1, the URL in the address bar on Mobile and Desktop is exactly the same.

What the heck is this nonsense?

Steam Frame Reservations/Lottery - Put money down first?

Looking at what is going on with the Steam Machine, it seems like some people are getting cold feet after signing up for the list.

Considering there was a randomization as part of the process, would it not make more sense to have people put $100 or so down so that people that are more genuinely interested are more likely to get the models they are wanting when signing up?

I feel it would remove a good bit of the noise if there was just a bit more friction involved in signing up for one of the lists versus clicking a button for being interested.

Even if it's refundable, prompting more careful signups at the start removes 3 days of waiting for each unit dropped later on. It's not like the prices weren't visible from the start, yet here we are. Thoughts?
