Considering picking up a TS carbine with the transverse lug, but am worried about finding a bayonet for it. I found one that's beat up for a good price, but it's missing the latch button and spring. Can anyone send photos of theirs so I can see how feasible it would be to make a new one?
I love pistol carbines. I plan to get myself an 1855 pistol carbine as a housewarming gift to myself soon, but I'm also looking at a pietta 1860 and the stock. If I get one, or an 1858 in .36 cal, and a .44LC or .38spl conversion cylinder, would it then be considered an SBR? Never dealt with converted black powder stuff.
Aircraft ran off the runway and the nose strut came off. Set the engine on the tailgate and bed, strapped the prop to the D rings, hauled her about half a mile nice and slow back to the hangar.
Local seller has this for 475 clams, thinking of picking it up and putting a heat shield on it. I know the barrel is measured to the breach face and not the receiver like he has it here, is this a reasonable candidate for a trench clone or is it a bubba job with a shorter barrel than ever came from the factory?
