How To Increase Cargo Industry Production?
I don't seem to understand how to increase my station rating above 80%, it seems to always hover around 51-79%. What I'm doing:
- Smooth economy.
- RO-RO Stations with forced depot.
- Constant trains entering and collecting cargo as soon as one leaves. Full load selected.
- Always turn on "replace old trains".
I just don't know how to push it above 80% to get production increases. Previously I liked having slightly longer 5 tile trains, but have now moved to shorter 3 tile trains. For faster loading, more frequent trips, and faster average speeds. This seems to have helped, as the station rating normally hovers in the mid-60's to mid-70's.
Is it because I prefer to play with steam locomotives? The wiki mentions that maximum speed plays a part in this and the fastest steam engine is 144km/h. Surely I can still get over 80% though right? What else can I do?
