Problem formatting SD2Vita for 2TB card

Problem formatting SD2Vita for 2TB card

OK, so JB Hi-Fi finally got the 2TB micro SD cards in stock, and I can confirm the cards are genuine, I'm currently using one of the two I purchased in my computer as I type this. I wanted to put the other in my SD2Vita, my previous card was 1TB and its nearly full.

I followed the instructions in this video. Now it is my understanding that for anything over 200GB, the card should be formatted using 64kilobytes as your Allocation Unit Size. However, it's been awhile since I last prepped an SD2Vita and I'm now on Windows 11. It only seems to let me select 128kilobytes as my lowest setting. My desktop which still uses Windows 7 also wouldn't let me use 64kilobytes, nor did my local library computer which used Windows 10 (I think).

I proceeded to format the card selecting 128kilobytes as my allocation unit size. But after copying all my previous card's data across and popping it in my Vita, the Vita correctly recognizes the card as having 1,863GB, but it doesn't recognize any free space. VitaShell detects no data at all, free nor taken. And on the main menu it keeps giving me a notification falsely warning me that there is less than 40MB of free space. This is despite there being nearly an entire TB of free space.

Any suggestions? Was selecting 128kB at fault? Any idea how to get the 64kB formatting option back? Or is there something else I should do?
