G2 Test - Will I Automatically Fail for Not "Turning Right on Red" if Someone Honks? Instructor says, I will Fail

My instructor says that if I can legally make a right turn on RED LIGHT during my G2 road test, but I choose not when it is clearly safe (no cars, no pedestrians) and someone behind me honks, I will automatically fail.

He is 100% certain and says I basically have to make the turn on Red if it is clearly safe.

Can any driving examiners or people with direct examiner experience confirm if this is actually true in Ontario? Is failing to turn right on red considered an automatic fail, or is it more about whether the examiner sees it as hesitation/traffic flow issues?

Please help me understand the driving law.

TLDR;
No, it is not a fail - Examiner confirmed. Waiting until green is not wrong in terms of law. Turn right only if you feel like it, othervise wait until green. Ignore honking.
