Hi everyone!

Recently, I've been searching for some decent small-town RPs, which have some supernatural aspects, based in a modern setting on Discord (Not magic based with vampires, werevolves, etc., but more so cryptids like big-foot, mothman, ghosts, etc.). However, I've been coming up pretty short.

Most of the adverts I found are either for more higher fantasy stuff, places I've been warned about having a clique-like behaviours, or ones that are just dead. So, as a sort of last resort, I'm coming here to ask all of you, my fellow writers - Are there any group Discord servers like this that you know of?

If so, please send them my way! I'm dying for a nice group setting with some supernatural aspects to it!

Hello everyone!

I'm back in the scene after a long writing hiatus, and I'm looking for a new role-play partner to do a somewhat specific scenario with. However, before I get into the good stuff, I feel like it's necessary for me to talk a little bit about myself, my preferences, and what I need from my potential writing partner (Please, just bare with me for a moment, lmao).

About me:

- ☆》 I'm a woman, 25+. Based in UK (GMT+1 time zone).

- ☆》 I'm a role-playing veteran (13+ years experience), so I know what I like, what I don't, and I communicate accordingly. If I don't like something, I will tell you. I also only role-play on Discord.

- ☆》 I prefer to play male characters but I'm open to playing a woman.

- ☆》 I only do sapphic and straight character relationships. So an FxF or MxF. I don't do MxM as I'm not experienced with it.

- ☆》 I LOVE world-building, plotting, sharing ideas, and just gushing about our characters (I also draw so expect an art drop of our oc's).

- ☆》 I double! I love making the world more alive, by bringing in side characters, side plots, etc.

- ☆》 I tend to reply daily or couple times a week. If I'm busy I'll let you know!

- ☆》 I'm a literate / novella level writer, so you can expect AT LEAST 2/3+ paragraphs per response from me (And as good of a grammar as I can muster). I also write strictly in 3rd person past tense.

- Modern (1970s-2020s) / Mystery / Crime / Noir / Drama / Hallmark / Romance / Drama / Royalty / Historical (Regency, Medieval, Victorian, Renaissance, Western) / Small town / Friends to lovers.

Partner requirements:

- ☆》 Be 25+.

- ☆》 Be a somewhat experienced writer with a good level of grammar. Also write in 3rd person past tense.

- ☆》 Be willing to double, plot, and world-build with me (I don't want to be the one doing everything, while you just focus on your own character).

- ☆》 Be somewhat active (A couple of replies a week, doesn't need to be every day).

- ☆》 Write at least 2/3+ paragraphs per reply (Unless the scene calls for something more fast paced).

- ☆》 Be willing to play an F against an M - or - an F against an F.

- ☆》 Be good at communicating. If you don't like something / don't want to do something, please TELL ME.

Now to the actual role-play idea.

Quick RP scenario overview: (All characters must be 18+. With the main duo being in their very late 20s to mid 30s).

**- ☆》**The Not So Hallmark Story;

A small town, nestled within a picturesque countryside. The smell of freshly baked goods, flowers, and warm brews lacing the senses at each turn. Friendly faces, smiles, and chatter inviting you to sit and stay a while - to indulge in all that the town's got to offer. Sandy Hills is by all means, the picture perfect town. With our characters at its heart - or - the heart of the story. Childhood friends, separated by the cruel passage of time.

After years away in a big city, the female character decides to come back to town, be it willingly or otherwise. The sudden return is paired with an even more sudden death of her grandmother, who the female lead was raised by - and who left her a considerable sum of money, land, and a house in her will. A house, which the female lead decides to move back in to. Unfortunately, it's no longer the shining jewel it once was. Coated with dust, rotting stained floors, and spider webs. The house is in a worse shape than she initially thought.

Something doesn't feel quite right... The house feels different. As if something was lingering in the shadows. Something or someone, who wasn't quite moved on just yet. And when an all too familiar face of her childhood friend appears at her doorstep, and a haunting apparition reveals itself from within the depths of the house - The shocking truths finally come spilling into the light.

One murder. One ghost. One home. Secrets, buried under a perfect facade of a perfect town. Come and join the main characters, as they unravel the seems of a perfect crime, discover truths hidden from the town, and help the souls of the by-gone be-gone.

Inspired by Ghost Whisperer, the role-paly follows the misadventures of two childhood best friends - One who was gifted with the ability to see / communicate with ghosts, and one who, despite their lack of abilities, makes up for it in their knowledge of supernatural - As they navigate their path to solving a murder of the grandmother of the main female lead, murders unveiled along the way, and their own personal struggles / feelings.

Other details are subject to discussion / plot collaboration.

I'm open to potentially cooking up some other plot, if this one is not to anyone's taste. I'm also willing to make it less supernatural and more real life drama too. However, ideally I would like to stay as close to the setting explained above as possible. Details are subject to collaboration.
