I chatted with Jason in London when we were both college kids studying abroad way back in 1994? 1995? And he lived there for several years later in his short, magnificent life.

On October 3, the Spineriders will make their debut in Columbus! Established in the late 80's in Lorain, they were a staple underground band in the Cleveland scene for many years. Then... their musical efforts went on hiatus for almost 30 years.
Now back together, they return to bring you songs from the past, along side new material, unreleased tunes, and recently released material from their "Subliminal Hypnosis" EP. Part punk, part metal, part crossover... all middle-aged rage.

The festival run has been INCREDIBLE, but everywhere it has screened is due to the local audience being vocal and enthusiastic both early and OFTEN.
Rejection is a big part of this game. It is Reality. I fully accept it - and have even gotten used to it. More importantly, it has been a great life experience.I am beyond grateful for the success of this film so far. It has already FAR exceeded my own hopes for it!

I was sent a few photos from friends who performed at the Jason Molina Celebration in London last night. The place looked PACKED!
What I don't fully understand is, I expected my feeds to be overwhelmed by posts and photos. But they aren't.
The upside, perhaps, is that it was experienced as a deeply personal, emotional, perhaps even solemn event. Which would actually be quite pleasing in a sense. Anybody attend? The whole production looked very impressive from what little I have seen ❤️
The festival run keeps on giving! Flickers in Providence Rhode Island gifted me lots of time with dear friends Aaron Molina & Family and William Schaff. HUGE BONUS: John Faraone played a knock out tribute set to Jason after the film ❤️ what an INCREDIBLE audience in PVD!!!
And You F*ckers Figure It Out: A Jason Molina Story won BEST DOCUMENTARY in the ATL at Atlanta Underground Film Festival!!!! It was SO good to be back in Georgia. And my golly, that festival was AMAZING!!!
