Idk if anyone is going to read this or not. But why do people keep making claims that they can give you money if you do some simple tasks here and then it all goes to crap all because you trusted them and thought that you would get paid in the end. Why is that? Also you would think that they would update you and give you all the information upfront by being transparent and honest but thay aren't. I just gave someone access to my Scrambly account last night and I checked this morning and now it's suspended. I guess I will say I was stupid for believing they would pay me from that.....let me know if any of you can relate and share your experiences of being scammed here please. Thank you.

Hello! I've been a Prolific user since 2022 and wanted to share a recent problem that I encountered with everyone that uses Prolific. There's this popular study called "One-on-One English Video Conversation (Headphones Required)" and I've been participating in this ongoing study for the last month to several weeks now, and in my personal experience, I was able to do several video conversations with people without headphones because you can also use a USB Mic, which I have and was actively using for this. So, I was earning $15 for 30 minutes to 60 minutes/hour of my time and the money added up quick as I would get paid every day or every other day in the morning or overnight.

But during the last few weeks that I was doing this study, they not only changed the layout of what the video call looked like, (adding random usernames, a control panel, etc.) it seemed like they kept tightening the requirements on who could join and all of that ultimately came down to the audio part. But for even more context, the first wave pf this study was way simpler and originally paid $22.50/hour and headphones were not required back then and their was a different researcher conducting the study than who we have now which has stayed consistent on the last 2 or 3 waves pf this study. Back then during the first wave this study started showing up in March.

I'll see if I can share a screenshot I took for this study as I have been able to participate in this study about 20 or 21 times before the requirements got even more strict from what I mentioned above. As of today, I can still access the study but my audio keeps getting rejected and all I get now is 25 cents as compensation for the time I spent trying to get my audio reviewed and trust me, my audio isn't bad by a long shot. I was so bothered by this that I contacted someone I met from the study and exchanged some information with so see if they were experiencing the same problems and low and behold, they were!!! So, at this point this is definitely a Prolific problem and a big problem by the current researcher of this study because idk who is reviewing the audios but they need to o a better job and ease up on the strict requirements keeping people from earning good money on the platform.
