So this is a bit of a weird one. Picked up a lot of 3 untested Samsung Galaxy Exhibits for a YouTube project. MetroPCS branded, but they work on T-Mobile too since the merger. Didn't expect these to connect to anything. They're old, and even back then were budget. Then I found out T-Mobile's 2G is somehow still up. Just for another month, before it goes dark on August 3rd. Something about that made me want to try, especially considering this was one of my childhood phones.

Anyone tried getting an old non-VoLTE phone onto T-Mobile, or an MVNO, recently? Instant no, or is there a workaround, like reusing an active SIM? Appreciate any input. Even if it's just, don't bother.
