Omni pillow? Not Omnia pillow. Anyone try this ?

I have been on the hunt for a pillow that is supportive for my neck and head but soft enough on my face. I've tried what seems like everything. Solid foam. Solid latex. Shredded of each. A mix of both. Countless brands ranging from expensive to inexpenaive amazon unknown brands. I've tried the ones everyone recommends like Coop. Saatva. Purple. Malouf etc. I tried so many I'm at a loss. There are some out there that say they have something special that makes it different. Yet they all havent been "the one". I heard of the Omni pillow on reddit. 1 mention. Nasa technology with lots of air pockets. I did some research and I kept finding TikTok and YouTube for Omnia pillow made in Italy to help with wrinkles or something. Has anyone tried the American Omni pillow. White and purple. Nasa foam technology? If so please share your experience. I can't afford to keep dropping $100 or more on pillows. I'm disabled female. Side sleeper. Lots of neck issues. Chronic pain everywhere. And about 100 other issues that make sleep difficult and painful. Like high loft. Also open to suggestions. Thank you!!!

Positive iron infusion experience

I had my first iron infusion today. Well my first since early 2024. It went awesome . I swear I could feel my body sucking it up. I actually closed my eyes after the first 10 minutes(I had to stay super alert the first 10 minutes and monitor every symptom because im an anxious hypochondriac and was afraid of a bad reaction) being honest!!! When I relaxed I closed my eyes and visualized the iron going thru my body to my head and hands and heart and feet and everywhere like a waterfall of nourishment. We will see how soon I feel better. I had fereheme. (Which i had to fight my insurance for). I only need to have 2 infusions. I didnt have any side effects or issues. I did ask her to run it slower then the usual 15 minutes. She did 30. It went so well and as i looked around at others getting chemo and various infusions i was so grateful to have the opportunity to be there honestly. To hopefully get to feeling better soon before my ACL surgery in 3 weeks. Im happy to share or answer any questions.

Went to the ER tonight. Anemia symptoms i hope

I've read alot of people's posts on anemia and iron deficiency. So many they are all blurring together. I've been experiencing alot of symptoms. Don't know for sure if its anemia vs perimenopause vs thyroid vs anxiety vs something else. I went to the ER becsuse im so sick of feeling so bad and the symptoms get scary. I was having tachycardia when i went in. It mellowed out after a bit. Some things im experiencing and curious if anyone experiences any of these symptoms with their iron deficiency anemia. Fast heart rate? Heart palpitations? Severe fatigue? Sleeping alot in the day? Tingling hands? Feeling shaky inside but not on the outside? Like internal vibrating almost. Nausea? No motivation? Increased anxiety and crying? I guess I'm just looking for others who live with this. Because doctors (even the good ones) act like if the hemoglobin is "in range" i should feel fine. I feel like garbage. Ferritin 11. Has been as low as 6. And iron sat is 14%. Hemoglobin 12.4 (below 12 is abnormal). Please share your symptoms and stories. Infusions? Supplements?

Fereheme experiences

Hi 👋. I posted last week asking about experiences with ferrlecit because my insurance and clinic limitations were leaving that as the only option. I received 1 response-today lol. So it doesn't seem to be very common. I just won an appeal with insurance to do fereheme. I had that 2 years ago and it worked well. Not life changing but my numbers went up and stayed up for close to 2 years. Lowering alot the last year. So even though I've had it I read people can still have allergic reactions and stuff after they have already successfully had it. Has this happened to anyone ? Can any of you who have had fereheme share your experiences? I kinda wanted venofer because I read its safe. But there are issues with insurances paying for this . All insurances. Saying its approved upfront then not paying. This is per my prior auth dept at cancer center/hematologist office. My daughter had the venofer over a year ago and did well with them. Fereheme experiences? Side effects, what it helped ? Just feeling anxious (anxiety disorder) thank you

Ferrlecit iron infusions

Hello everyone. I am due to have 5 ferrlecit iron infusions starting next week. This type is new to me. I had 2 fereheme I fusions 2 years ago. I did great with those and my numbers were good for 2 years. Now my insurance wont cover fereheme. Because it actually works. So of course they want me to do the cheapest option. Anyone had this type ? How did it go? Any reactions ? Did you feel better? Did your numbers increase for short term ? Long term ? Thanks in advance

CPM machine? Insurance covered?

Hi. My surgeon prescribed the CPM machine after acl surgery. To use 6 hours a day. He says this makes a huge difference in recovery. His assistant said insurance usually covers this. But not the ice machine. I was fine with that. Well low and behold my insurance company denied the CPM machine. They deny everything. Im a disabled medically federal employee and I pay around $260 a month for medical dental and minimal vision insurance. They deny EVERYTHING. Curious to all of you out there who have had acl surgery...1) did you use CPM 2) Did your insurance cover it ? Im so exhausted fighting for any little thing with insurance.

Anterior tibialis allograft? Anyone have this? If so has it been stable? Not stable?

Hello. I found out my surgery date is June 17th. Glad its getting done but also nervous. I am 48f. Not super active now but was for 25 years before some health disabilities the last few years. Hoping to get back to moderate walking . Pilates. Yoga. Playing with grandson. I dont only sit and watch tv and crochet either lol. I drive a stick shift pick up. I carry my own 5 gallon water bottles up a flight of stairs weekly. I am active but no longer athletic if that makes sense. So the surgeon said he is going to be using the anterior tibialis allograft. In everything I have read I cannot find much information on this specific type of allograft. I have hypermobility. I see the surgeon on the 8th and intend to bring this all up in more detail. Can anyone share any info about this allograft? Successes . Failures. Etc. thank you!

Pain medication necessary after ACL surgery? I take benzodiazepines

Hi. Im curious about your personal experiences with pain and pain medication after acl surgery. I take clonazepam every day for about 4 years. Low dose but definitely every day. It is not recommended to take opioid and benzodiazepines together. Could cause very slow breathing. Coma. Death. I brought this up to my surgeons assistant PA in portal message and he only said most people need more then advil and Tylenol for days or weeks. Not very helpful. I dont have any idea or what to expect since the surgeon PA is being vague and unsupportive. Very frustrated. Have any of you on benzodiazepines found a safe pain med for surgeries?

Full tear of ACL-clueless and overhelmed

Hi. I fell 2 weeks ago. Heard nunerous pops like 8 to 10. Sounded like a chiropractic adjustment. Landed on the floor in superman position. So here is where I am totally confused. I've had swelling. Minimal pain. Haven't even taken advil. Been 17 days. Saw a PA day 4 who thought it felt like acl intact. Wanted an ultrasound. I pushed for an mri. Had mri. While waiting for results I was driving my truck. Stick shift. Wasn't comfortable but I could do it safely. I finally received mri results and says "ACL tear with bone contusions" down below says torn at midline. And a bunch of other stuff. Possible minor meniscus tear but isn't clear on MRI. 1). I'm super confused about how I'm weight bearing. Walking(kinda hobbling) driving. But i have a full tear. 2) totally confused and clueless on what to do. I met with ortho today hoping for clarity and I left more confused. He basically said it depends on the person. Gave me a unlocked full length brace. Said for to physical therapy atleast a few times to get exercises for at home. And see him in 4 to 6 weeks. I thought ortho would be a bit more decisive . I read midline tears are the worst. But is that true? I have read so many different things my head is spinning. I'm 48 female. Overweight now due to disabilities. Not into sports and major exercise now. I would like to be able to walk at a good speed and do pilates. Surgery recovery scares me. I live in second floor. Live alone. Drive a stick shift. Im also scared to do nothing and do more damage.
